Bali will welcome the silence day on the 16th March 2010 starting from 6.am in the morning and end up at 6.am at the following day. Nyepi Day is a day of reflection, when all
residents both Hindu and non-Hindu alike, respect the rules of silence
which mark the Hindu New Year of Caka' 1932. It is a day of absolute quiet throughout
the island and all traffic is banned from the streets for the 24 hour
commemorative period from 6 a.m. Tuesday 16 March 2010, continuing
until 6 a.m. Wednesday 17 March 2010. As a result, whole airline passengers will not
be able to arrive or depart from Denpasar Airport.

Beside that, the provincial government and cities are also not providing dispensation toward the use of vehicles and transportation during the silence day unless if it is in an urgent matter and classified it as in the emergency situation.
Institution that are allowed to operate during the silence day of 16th March 2010 are the hospitals, fire fighters department, army and police stations without leaving the essence of the silence day itself.

The evening prior to the Nyepi day, on 15th March 2010, all Balinese people will lift the effigies that representings evils in every man's heart that should be left and burned and purified before the silence day is coming.
